Strong as an ox, healthy as a horse

That’s the verdict after my first trip to my new family doctor. Had a physical today, and pending a blood test, it seems I’m okay. After Dad’s stroke a couple years back, and as 40 looms not so far in the distance, I figured it was about time to get a family doctor. Quite happy with this one so far, she’s a very nice lady, Indian by way of Kenya, and she takes patients in on time.

I did have a bit of a scare when the nurse took my blood pressure, raised an eyebrow and quoted some number as if it should mean something to me. A second reading by the doctor came out normal, so perhaps the nurse just made me nervous.
